What’s In My Makeup Bag

Hi Ladies!

I’ve been spending way too much time watching makeup tutorials on YouTube and thought it would be fun to share what products I’ve been loving.

So funny story.. my daughter has been obsessed with watching YouTube videos of kids opening and playing with toys (Cue Ryan’s Toy Review intro.. if you don’t know what I’m talking about you’re lucky, it gets stuck in your head). Every parent I talked to about this says their kids are super into watching them too. Seems so silly to me.. Then one night my husband walks into the living room while we are watching our YouTube videos and totally called me out. My makeup tutorials are the equivalent to her toy videos. Mind blown. We are both watching people play with and narrate the products they love in the category we are interested in. I get it now!

Since I feel like an expert after watching all those videos (ha! I can’t even do a winged liner).. here are all the items currently in my makeup bag. I tend to lean more towards products that give off a dewy look. I have naturally dry skin so this helps me to feel more hydrated and it looks more youthful. I also prefer more of a natural look. Hope you find something new to try!

Becca Backlight Priming Filter – This sets the tone for a healthy, luminescent glow. Occasionally I will even mix it in with my foundation so my base is more dewy.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation – I love the coverage (buildable to full) and how long it lasts. I can wear it all day and it doesn’t wear off. No joke on the long wear!

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer – This is the best concealer I’ve ever tried. It is full coverage and doesn’t crease. I use one shade lighter to brighten up the under eye area.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer – I use this to roughly contour my face and add a natural looking tan. This is a great shade for all skin tones. Also looks very natural since there is no shimmer.

Nars Blush in Orgasm – A great everyday pinky-peach color. Goes with everything.

Becca Highlight in Champagne Pop – Worth. The. Splurge. This is probably my favorite makeup product of all time. It gives you a glow as if the sun was shining on your face, so radiant. Since you don’t need much this will last you a long time.

Morphe Eyeshadow Palette – I actually don’t wear eyeshadow very often. But this is my go-to palette for date nights and special occasions. It’s super affordable, tons of colors, and great quality!

Benefit Ka-Brow – I love that this is an all in one product that includes an angled brush to apply! I actually have my eyebrows microbladed/tattooed so I don’t need to fill them in too much.

Loreal Mascara and this one – I’ve been using the first one for years, it’s just sooo good. And the second one is newer but creates some serious drama. I also like to layer them and it looks like I am wearing false lashes!

Revlon Matte Lip – I love a matte lip because it stays on longer then a traditional lipstick. Just make sure you layer with some chapstick before.

There are so many great products out there right now! What are some of your favorites that I should try?
