Happy Monday! I wanted to share with you all some photos we took this past weekend.
One of our favorite things to do on the weekends is to go get coffee and cruise by the beach. The girls love getting hot chocolates and playing in the sand. Jeff and I can always use more (and more) caffeine.. It’s a cheap family outing and it also gives us somewhat of a calm moment to discuss the coming week. There is just something about the crashing waves and salty air that makes me feel refreshed.
On Saturday Jeff had to go up to Orange County to pick up a few things so the girls and I tagged along. We stopped at the cutest coffee shop in San Clemente, Bear Coast Coffee. It just might be my new favorite! It is right across the street from the San Clemente Pier and serves everything from coffee, to avocado toast, to pastries. Something that sets them apart from any other craft coffee shop is their attention to detail, I mean look at the hearts in the girls’ hot chocolates!!
If you’ve never been to San Clemente Pier Beach, I highly recommend it. If it wasn’t so far from Jeff’s office I would move there in a heart beat! We must have said to each other “we could live here” about 1,000 times…

Anyways, the reason I love this little part of town so much is the vibe. Sure it’s Orange County, and everything around here costs a million dollars (including the homes, I just verified that), but it’s so friendly and laid back. All the streets are lined with palm trees, there are mom and pop shops on every corner, and awesome restaurants. The train passes by here right along the beach, which my kids think is the coolest thing ever! They also have a few tables and swings right on the sand next to the pier. It’s a great place for families to hang out!

Pizza Port – Their other location is by us and we go there often, great for families!
Beachcomber Inn and Sea Horse Resort – Hotels right on the sand
Artifex Brewing Co – This was recommended to us, want to check it out next time.
Rip Curl Outlet – I love stopping here when we are in the area, lots of product at great deals!
