Banana bread…. yummmm! My mom used to make this banana bread for me since as far back as I can remember. It is a family favorite! Now I make it about once a month and it’s great to have for breakfast, a late night snack, or to bring to friends and neighbors. I am definitely not a food blogger, so I thought one of the first recipes I would share with you is one that I know well, is special to me, and is super easy!
I love easy baking recipes because often times my girls want to help. We have so much fun baking together, but I don’t have time to follow 100 steps or clean up after it all. So anything with the least amount of ingredients (which translates to less chances for spills) is a win in my book! Which is another reason why I love this recipe so much! It is a quick and easy recipe that still tastes amazing!
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 stick of butter (I usually let mine soften at room temp)
2 eggs
3 ripe bananas
2 cups Bisquick
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cups additives (chocolate chips, walnuts, etc)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Grease two 9″x5″ loaf pans (I typically use a spray vegetable oil)
Cream together all the ingredients in a bowl (I use a hand mixer)
Pour into loaf pans
Bake for 1 hour
And that’s it! The easiest banana bread recipe!
Us girls really love chocolate chips in the mix but Jeff really likes walnuts. There are so many variations you could add to make this banana bread exactly how you like it. You could even pour the entire batter into one loaf pan if you wanted a thicker bread. It’s up to you!
