I Did A Three Day Cleanse – Here’s What Happened

I did a three day detox cleanse that included juice, soups, smoothies, and salads. It is simple and a great and easy plan for beginners. Many benefits for weight loss and skin. Here are my results.

I was lucky enough to be sent the Lifestyle Cleanse from Beaming and I am so anxious to try it! This one is a little bit different from your normal cleanse as it includes some food such as soups and salads, which I think is going to make it easier for me! All the ingredients are organic, anti-inflammatory plant-based foods. Some of the benefits listed include reduce toxins, slow aging, lose weight, clear skin, boost immunity, reduce sugar cravings, and a ton more!

Everything that came for the cleanse is organized and labeled which is super helpful! It arrived in three bags, one for each day. Inside each bag is all the food for that day and a recommended daily routine card that tells you when to eat each one. Based on this schedule, you will be eating something every 2-3 hours to prevent hunger and keep blood sugar levels and energy steady. It looks super easy to follow!

Here is what I am hoping to achieve with this.. I am doing this to help reset my tastebuds and curb my sugar cravings (I have a major sweet tooth). I’m also hoping it gives me more energy through out the day. This is my first cleanse so I am super excited to see what happens and if I notice a difference. I will be sure to document the journey and will share it with you below!

Day One

Today is the day the cleanse got delivered, yay! I was actually on my way to taking the kids to school when I saw the FedEx truck pass me a few houses up. I immediately turned around, met the driver at my front door, and put all the food in the fridge. I grabbed a celery juice from the Day 1 bag and hopped back in the car. As someone who usually wakes up not hungry, I did have to push myself to finish the celery juice first thing in the morning… we shall see how this goes as I drink it even earlier tomorrow.

As the day went on I did find myself getting hungry just as it was time to drink another juice or eat the soup and salad. I did feel like there was plenty of food and a few of them I was struggling to finish it all. I ended up saving the protein bite for the evening. That’s when I really crave sweets and the coconut really helped to satisfy that. Overall, the first day was easier then I had thought it would be and I don’t feel hungry or tired at all. The only thing I am missing right now is some carbs and something to crunch on!

Ps. REALLY loved the charcoal lemonade today!

Day Two

Alright, day two. I take forever to drink anything, so throughout the whole day, I always had a juice in my hand. It is tough to consume that much liquid! But because of this I did not feel hungry at all. I really enjoyed the smoothie today, the vanilla was just the right amount of sweet! The salad was also delicious and I was able to eat it on the go. I probably should have tried to time this better as we took the girls to Disney On Ice tonight and I really wanted all the junk food there! I may have even begged for a snow cone but my husband (who, by the way, is far more healthy then I am) convinced me to stay strong. Bless him.

Day Three

It’s the last day of the cleanse. I am doing better then I thought I would and I think having a variety of soup, salad, and a smoothie is helping with that. I also noticed today that I am feeling less bloated then usual, woohoo!

I am actually liking the celery juice in the mornings. It’s really refreshing, kind of like having cucumber water, and makes me feel really motivated to be healthy that day (compared to having a vanilla latte). I don’t ever feel like I am really hungry, however I am still craving something to crunch on. I grabbed a handful of almonds which is allowed with this cleanse. Also, I decided to swap the soup and salad today to mix things up, so I had the soup for dinner. Jeff tried my Carrot Ginger soup and he gave it two thumbs up!

New Year, New Me! Okay, maybe not a completely new me… but definitely a new “less sugar” me! I would say the biggest difference I have noticed, and a result I was hoping for, is that I am not craving something sweet after every meal. I would typically reach for something chocolate or sweet right after eating and I don’t find myself doing that anymore. Yay!

One thing I didn’t do during this cleanse was workout. I typically go to Orange Theory (you can read my post all about it here) twice a week and this just happened to land in between my visits. It does say you can do a moderate workout while doing this cleanse since it is not a liquid-only fast. I wonder if I had done some sort of exercise if it would have gave me a different level of energy.

Overall, I really liked the Lifestyle Cleanse and I think it is a great option for those who want to detox and reset. I love that it includes soups, salads, and smoothies which I think is more realistic for me then doing a liquid only diet. Everything tasted really good and I found myself looking forward to trying the next items. I am so glad I did it and I hope this post was helpful if you are interested in the cleanse too!
