Jeff and I took the girls to brunch this past weekend at Louisiana Purchase in North Park. This neighborhood had so many cute craftsman style houses, which is super unique to San Diego! Since we were a few minutes early to our reservation (that never happens) I thought this would be a great spot to shoot a few photos of my new Fawn Design diaper bag that I have been testing out. And what better way to test a new diaper bag then in the chaos of being in a restaurant with two little kids!

I feel like picking a diaper bag can be such a big decision. It’s going to be the bag you use every. single. day. and that you trade in all your other trendy, smaller purses for. That is a serious commitment, ladies! So make sure you do your research and pick one that you absolutely love!

Not only are diaper bags expensive, but there are so many options on the market right now. I’ve tried a handful of them, designer included, since becoming a mom over five years ago. Recently I switched to a Fawn Design diaper bag (that I purchased myself.. aka not sponsored) and was so blown away that I had to share all the details with you!

First of all… backpack diaper bags where have you been all my life?! I am never going back to slinging one on my shoulder and having it constantly slide down when my hands seem to be the fullest.

The Fawn Design bag I have is the mini in the color brown. Don’t let the name fool you, the mini size is 10″ tall by 11″ wide and holds a ton!

I chose the smaller of the two sizes for a few different reasons. My youngest is almost three and will be potty training soon.. aka less diapers to carry around. I find that I can get away with leaving the house with only 1-2 diapers, wipes, water cup, and my wallet. All of this fits perfectly in the mini size with some room to spare. I also think the mini size will still be super practical for me to continue to use once my kids are a little older and I don’t need a diaper bag anymore.

I absolutely love the look of this bag! The premium faux leather that lines both the inside and the outside is animal friendly, durable, easy to maintain, and soooo soft. You can wipe down the entire bag with a wet wipe in less than a minute! In addition to the leather, I think the gold hardware makes it look so much more expensive then it actually is. Fawn Design also sells really cute accessories that allow you to personalize your bag, including pouf keychains, tassels, stroller hooks, and a changing clutch. I want them all!

The half round zipper top opens wide so you can see everything inside. It is lined with pockets all around both the outside and inside to keep everything organized, which is great for people like me who somehow accumulate excess in their bags… (like I need those receipts from last year?). There is a pocket for everything: bottles, diapers, wipes, snacks, keys and the pockets help prevent everything from getting mixed up in a black hole.

In addition to being a backpack, the bag can also be worn with a shoulder strap like this or as a crossbody. I love the versatility and simple design. I can make this bag fit any style I am wearing from sporty athleisure, to casual jeans, to a dress. It also has a grab handle to easily grab and go.

The backpack straps unhook and tuck into the large back pocket which I will show you in the picture below. We also use this back pocket to occasionally carry an iPad or coloring sheets.

Overall, I think the Fawn Design backpack is worth the hype! It’s no wonder I see so many moms carrying these bags around! I am so glad I finally pulled the trigger on ordering one, I wish I had done it sooner!

Enjoy the rest of your week, mamas!
