10 Winter Staples

Black Jeans – Trade in your lighter washes for something darker. More specifically, black. I wear my black skinny jeans almost every day in the winter, they might be my favorite staple.

Staple Black Jacket – Have a go-to black jacket. The aviator style is super popular right now and you can never go wrong with a leather jacket. I wear my leather jacket with everything from joggers to a sequin dress.

Shearling Jacket – Because it’s cold outside and you need a variety of jackets… I love the cozy look of some shearling on a denim or aviator style jacket. It is very on trend for the season but still a staple item to have in your wardrobe.

Black Dress – Have a go-to dress that you love to wear. There are lots of parties and events this time of year and having a dress you can rely on is key. Also, a black dress can be styled so many different ways with jewelry, boots, heels, etc.

Thinner Turtleneck Top –  Have this to wear underneath jackets, vests, another sweater, sleeveless dress, or even on it’s own. I love a classic black turtleneck, but any neutral color that would match with everything would be great.

Cable Knit Sweater – This is a thicker sweater that can be worn on it’s own. I especially love cable knits when they have a turtleneck or roll neck.

Statement Coat – Classy, classic, sophisticated piece. Chose a solid color that will go with everything such as black, grey, or camel.

Beanies – These are obviously to keep you warm, but I love the look of adding something extra. Having that extra piece can really pull the look together. Plus they are really good at hiding dirty hair!

Boots – Specifically a black that you can wear with just about everything. In the winter I tend to gravitate more towards a higher ankle bootie. You could also do a riding boot height or even over the knee boots too!

Slippers – Yes, I am including these as a Winter essential. They are probably the one thing that I am guaranteed to wear every single day. As soon as I get home, I love sliding my feet into these!
