Happy Tuesday, babes! We had a jam packed weekend and I am so happy to have had an extra day this weekend to recover. Thank you so much to all the veterans who have served our country!
It’s still hotter than heck here, but at least it is cooling down in the evenings. We also have some fun trips planned next month to colder weather destinations. So, I am starting to pull some cozier items from my closet and pick up a few additional things. Here is what I have been wearing and am loving right now for this season!
Oversized Sweaters – I love a good oversized sweater! They are so versatile, can wear them with jeans or leggings or even leather leggings. And the best part is that they hide any part of your body you don’t want to show off. So cozy and chic!
Black Denim – I’ve been wearing black denim so much the last few weeks that I bought a second pair. Both my original pair (above) and new pair are from madewell. The new pair has an exposed button fly, which I love. I have been reaching for these the last few years over my distressed black denim.
Boots – Nothing says Fall like a great pair of boots, can I get an amen!? Combat boots are making a huge come back this season. But I also prefer an ankle bootie (with fun cut outs like the ones above) since it doesn’t get too chilly here in SoCal.
Period Pieces – Think romantic sleeves, higher necklines and more Victorian-era inspired patterns. I am loving the puff sleeve trend. I think it is perfect when you need to cover a little more skin, but still lightweight and super feminine.
Midi Skirts – To be completely honest, I never thought I was a midi skirt type of girl until I put one on. Now I can’t get enough! They are so easy and comfortable, yet totally chic. I also think they would make for a great Thanksgiving outfit, especially if they have an elastic waistband like the one above.
Accessories – This is my favorite way to change up an outfit. Something like a sweater and jeans can become multiple new outfits by adding different accessories. For Fall, I am loving chunky knit beanies, wool wide-brim hats, and occasionally even some plaid scarves!
Leather Jackets – We went to a hockey game last weekend and I pulled out my leather jacket for the first time this Fall. I always feel so much cooler throwing on a leather jacket, don’t you? Mine from last year has a removable hood so I can dress it up or down. It’s a great staple piece to have in your closet!
What are you loving this season? Any trends you can’t get enough of or can’t stand?
