Recently I hit a really big milestone: 10,000 monthly viewers on my blog! Since then I have continued to grow, but not without some hard work and strategy. I have figured out what works for me, drives the most traffic to my blog, and most importantly, converts. I often get questions from my readers about where to start. And while I would love to answer them all individually, I think having a one stop shop to get all the information you need would be super helpful! I have created a quick, to the point instructional guide on what has helped me reach 10,000 monthly views on my blog (yay!).

Here are my google analytics from the last six months:

My secret?

PINTEREST

The vast majority of all traffic to my blog comes from Pinterest. This is where I like to focus my efforts and promote all my blog posts.

I am sure you have read thousands of articles that scream “A Million Pinterest Views In 1 Month” and it sounds completely unrealistic, I get it. To be honest, I had no idea how to utilize Pinterest when I first started my blog. I had only used it to pin cute birthday decor ideas, home inspiration, easy recipes, etc. Fast forward to over a year later, I have been taking my Pinterest game seriously to drive more traffic to my blog.

I also think it’s important to mention that I don’t have tens of thousands of followers on Pinterest. I have a modest number now, but follower count on Pinterest is almost irrelevant. In the Pinterest world, views and engagement are everything! It is very possible to get your pins viewed with just a handful of followers.

I don’t know everything about Pinterest, but I do know that these are the exact steps I took to get my first 10,000 monthly blog views. I took a few screenshots of my personal stats to show you that this strategy really works and is continuing to increase my exposure. The proof is in the pudding!
