Hello ladies!! My kids went back to school this week after having one of our best spring breaks yet! Since we went to Mexico earlier this month (you can read about that here), we stayed local and spent most of our days at the beach. Now that Hayden is a little older it’s actually so enjoyable and the girls will play in the sand together for hours. We are so lucky to live here, but it got me thinking that many of you are probably getting ready to head to a beach vacation for your spring break or summer trip. Here are a few of my absolute favorite products that I feel are necessities for any day spent at the beach. All of these will help to enhance that natural beauty and glow we all want!
10 Must-Have Beauty Products For Your Beach Vacation
Coola Sunscreen – This is probably the most important item to bring with you. I love Coola products and they are actually local to me. Their newest sunscreen, the mineral cream, offers max protection but still rubs in clear!
IT Cosmetics CC Cream – This is my go-to CC cream! I wear it almost everyday when I’m just home with the kids and when I’m at the beach. It offers great coverage, makes your skin look luminous, and has an SPF of 50+.
Sunless Tanner – Since we still want to look tan under all that sunscreen, I love a good self tanner. I have tried so many, but my two favorites are St Tropez Mousse and Bondi Sands Dry Oil. I have been using the second one more often lately and find that it is darker and lasts longer. I apply both with a mitt before hand and then bring it along for touch ups after being in the water.
Oribe Apres Beach Wave and Shine Hairspray – Mermaid waves are an essential part of achieving that effortless beach vacay look! One of my favorite ways to do this is to use a sea salt spray. Most of them can be kinda sticky but the Oribe one adds a ton of texture without that sticky feeling.
Physicians Formula Lip Cream – I keep one of these in my purse, beach bag, car.. I’m obsessed! They have the most beautiful tints and they have SPF 15 in them. This is one of those lip products that you can apply on the go without a mirror and know it will look beautiful! My favorite color is Soaking Up The Sun.
Liquid Highlighter – The secret to a bronze goddess look? Highlight! I love a good liquid highlighter when I am not doing a full glam look. Creams and liquids can look more natural then the powder alternative. One of my favorites is Benefit’s Watts Up. Then for all over the face (I even do this under my foundation sometimes for a glow from within) is the L’Oreal Lumi Glotion and Becca’s Backlight Priming Filter.
Waterproof Mascara – We’ve all had raccoon eyes coming out of the water, not a good look. If you can’t live without mascara, then I highly recommend L’Oreal Voluminous Waterproof Mascara.
Face Moisturizer – Traveling and being out in the sun can really dry out your skin. Bring a good moisturizer to apply both morning and night to keep your skin looking fresh. Two of my favorites that I use on a daily basis are Neutrogena Hydro Boost and TULA’s day and night cream.
Vita Liberata Body Blur – This stuff is a miracle in a bottle! Picture a sunset, tan glowy skin, drink in hand.. ah, I love it! Wear it after a day in the sun on your arms, chest, and legs. It will hydrate, blur imperfections, and give you a slight shimmer… basically turn you into J.Lo!
