I’ve been getting a few questions on Instagram lately about my Agolde Parker shorts and my Agolde Dee shorts. They are a bit of an investment piece, so I totally get that you want to be super informed on which one will work best for you before you buy. Let me start by saying that you really can’t go wrong with either one. I absolutely love Agolde shorts and own multiple pairs of the exact same style because I wear them so much. I’m embarrassed to admit how much Agolde has taken of my money… but it’s so worth it you guys, ha! Nothing even comes close to how good their denim is. Alright, now here’s the difference between the Parker and Dee styles.
Agolde Parker Shorts
Let’s start with these ones since this is the first pair I bought from Agolde. The color I have is called “Swapmeet”. Here’s why I LOVE them:
- The bottom hem flares out slightly which is really flattering on your legs.
- They have a hidden seam above the bottom frayed edge to keep them from fraying any shorter.
- They have an easy button fly and are high rise.
- A great color denim wash and distressing in all the right places.
- They are a little bit longer in the back to hide your booty.
- Can dress them up with a blazer or down with a swimsuit.
A few drawbacks:
- The sizing is a little off, make sure to size down one. They will still be a bit loose even when sizing down (which is what I prefer in shorts anyways).
- They are a high rise, but the Dee shorts are at least an inch higher then these.
- These are the most popular pair and sell out often. So if you find them in your size, make sure to grab them!
Agolde Dee Shorts
This is a newer pair for me! The color I have is called “Ricochet”. Here’s why I LOVE them:
- They are SUPER high rise at 12.5 inches! Probably the highest of all the shorts I own, but I love that about them.
- They are a little longer on the legs (a 4 inch inseam). I actually prefer longer and more modest shorts while I’m chasing the kids around.
- They have side seam slits to help the longer inseam not be tight around your thighs.
- They run true to size. I ordered my usual size (so, one size bigger then the Parker shorts).
You really can’t go wrong with either one of them! Agolde shorts are one of the few things in my closet that I have bought multiples of because I can’t imagine living without them. They are such great quality and will last you for years (no joke, I first talked about them in this post from 2018)! Highly recommend and worth every penny!
