OK, OK… with the Nordstrom sale still going strong we have been chatting about Fall fashion a little too much for my liking. I am NOT ready to give up shorts and tank tops and there is nothing but hot weather on the horizon. So why not round up some of my FAVORITE denim shorts that are current staples in my closet:
This first pair is the most affordable of all the shorts I am sharing today. These BP shorts are under $50 and I love the distressing on the hem. They are high waisted and super soft. I love wearing them with tank tops or a knotted tee. Overall, this is a great pair for the price!!! They run true to size, wearing a 26 here.
These Agolde shorts are my favorite shorts I currently own!! I will say they are more of an investment piece, but I wear mine almost everyday. It took me awhile to pull the trigger on them but I am so glad that I did. I love how high waisted they are and feel comfortable wearing these with a bikini top at the beach or pool. The distressing is so cute and the leg openings flare out a little which I think is super flattering on your thighs. Size down, wearing a 25 here and they are still a little loose.
Another pair of of my favorite shorts that I have had in my closet for a few years now are these Levi 501 shorts. They fit sooo well! Unlike the rest of them, there shorts don’t have any distressing. I can dress them up or down. They are a thicker material and get better with wear. They do run really small and are pretty short, size up.
The last pair of denim shorts I wanted to share are these One Teaspoon Bandits that you saw in my Palm Springs blog post. They are always my go-to for a more casual look. The cuffs come double folded and they are shorter on the outside of your leg then the inside and back, which I think is super flattering and makes your legs look longer while you still have some coverage where you need it. I also love that the front pockets hang out lower then the hem. They run true to size for a looser fit.
Bonus: The BEST kids denim shorts on the market are these Old Navy shorts. I love that they have an elastic waist band so kiddos can wear them for awhile as they grow. Also, there are no buttons which make it easy for kids learning to potty train. They are super comfortable and not too tight. I have a few pairs for each of my girls and they wear them all the time!
Denim shorts are a staple in my wardrobe and I wear them almost everyday with everything from a swimsuit to a sweatshirt.
