Our oldest daughter, Gracyn, is SIX!! We celebrated this weekend at Disneyland and had the best time! While we were there we treated her to a princess makeover at The Bippity Boppity Boutique. I wish they had this service available when I was a little girl. It’s definitely a once in a lifetime, magical experience! We saw a few other little girls walking around the park after their makeovers too, so I thought I would share a review with you all here on the blog as it is becoming a more popular activity at the park.
How To Become A Princess At Bippity Boppity Boutique
I highly recommend making a reservation in advance online. I booked Gracyn’s appointment a month in advance and she got the last available time slot for the day we planned on being there. The Bippity Boppity Boutique is locate inside Disneyland and you must have a valid ticket into the park. Once you are at the park, head over to the boutique at your appointment time and check in. The check in stand is located just inside Sleeping Beauty Castle on your left. At that time, you will select a package ranging from a simple beauty makeover to a new princess dress and photoshoot. They also offer Knight packages for little boys to participate too. Your assigned fairy godmother will escort your party inside to get started.
Our Experience At Bippity Boppity Boutique
Gracyn’s fairy godmother first escorted us to the dressing rooms where she changed into her princess dress. You can either bring a dress from home or if you purchased a new one it will be given to you here. Once her dress was on she was ready to be pampered!
The inside of the the Boutique looks just like a typical hair salon with a station and chair for each child. Gracyn chose the hairstyle she wanted off a menu with multiple styles and accessories. The fairy godmother did her hair and makeup, then painted glitter on her nails. Everything they used including the nail polish and makeup kit was put into a pink tote bag for her to bring home. After her makeover was complete, her fairy godmother sprinkled her magic wand full of glitter over her. Finally they did a full reveal by parting the curtains to a glimmering mirror. Her expression when she saw herself as a princess for the first time is something I will never forget!
The fun didn’t stop there! We got so lucky when we exited the boutique and Gaston (from Beauty & The Beast) happened to be passing through with no one around. He stopped to talk to her for a few minutes and snap some photos. She walked around the rest of the day in her dress and every cast member called her a princess and some even bowed.
This will definitely be a birthday she will never forget! We had the best time celebrating at Disneyland and the princess makeover was the cherry on top!
