Hi mamas! I can’t believe it has been three whole months with our Kannon girl. It still hasn’t even set in that we have three kids now.. wowza! I wrote a post a few months ago with my Must Have Baby Registry Items and wanted to give you an update as to which of those baby items we are actually using, what I additionally purchased, and what we surprisingly haven’t used this time around.
Most Used Baby Products
Car Seat – This one is a given, but I’ve been really happy with the Maxi Cosi seat we chose. We spend a ton of time in the car dropping my older girls off at school and to activities. I believe this seat is a pound lighter than the Chicco seat we used with my older girls which does make a difference when you carry it around.
Ergo – Kannon has been living in this thing! She loves to be held all the time and this helps keep my hands free. I did have a wrap to wear her in as well but I reach for the Ergo 99% of the time. Even as a newborn she fit in this carrier against my chest.
Cradle Cap Kit – This is a newer product to us that I bought last month to help with Kannon’s cradle cap. It worked the first time and I was very impressed. Almost everything from this brand is amazingly helpful.
Stroller & Attachments – We are still using the stroller occasionally, but like I said above she definitely prefers the carrier and being held. I used this stroller with my middle child and still love it five years later.
Snuggle Me Organic – We love this baby lounger (pictured above)! It’s great for making Kannon feel like she is being held when I need to set her down for a few minutes. We move it all around the house. Just FYI, I had it in the crib for a photo but it is not approved for sleeping unattended in.
Hatch – This thing is amazing! I actually packed this in my suitcase and brought it on a trip with us cause we can’t live without it. The first few nights after we brought Kannon home I was using a little portable machine and getting up with change the volume, trying to find a nightlight for being up with her.. we were so disorganized. This sound machine has everything you need and its controllable from your phone! One of my favorite baby products!!
Swing – Nothing fancy here but another place I am able to set baby down for a few minutes in. We use it everyday.
Least Used Baby Products (that I thought I needed)
Haakaa – This is a brilliant invention that I thought I would use often. However, I find it is an extra step to go find it or wash it when baby is fussing cause she is hungry.
Nursing Pillow – Similar situation as above. A pillow is usually within reach and works just as well.
Snoo – This one pains me to admit since the amount we spent on it. We have been co-sleeping instead of using the Snoo and now that she is mostly sleeping through the night I don’t want to interrupt her routine.
Diaper Pail – Another extra step.. we just throw diapers in the trash. As a family of five, the trash gets taken out pretty often!
