My Favorite Healthy Snacks

Here is a list of easy healthy snack ideas for weightloss and on the go. Including protein, recipes, and clean eating. They are all quick to prepare.

I love snacks. Like so much. So why not dedicate an entire post to it?! I feel like I am always on the hunt for some new ideas for healthy snacks to switch things up. Here are some of my go-to’s and hopefully you will share yours too!

If you’ve been following along with me on Instagram, then you know that I’ve recently joined Orange Theory Fitness. How many of you are also members? It’s been a game changer for me! I love the accountability of having to be somewhere at a specific time and I also love that I don’t have to use my brain like I would working out on my own. The coaches are all so great and every time I go I get a different workout. I am actually sitting here on the couch with super sore legs (hurts so good, right?). Anyways, where I am going with this story… is that when I workout it also motivates me to eat healthier. Like I don’t want to ruin what I just burned off or even my abs hurt so bad that I don’t want a huge meal. I am definitely a snacker, but as a busy mom of two I don’t have time to prepare food multiple times a day. Here are a few quick and easy things I like to eat to keep me fueled.

My Favorite Easy Healthy Snacks

Protein Bars

Carrots + hummus (have you tried Bitchin’ Sauce? I’m obsessed!)

Nuts (peanuts that you have to crack out of the shell are great for boredom eating)

Protein Shakes (I’m lazy, so pre-made ha!)

Yogurt with some berries on top

Protein power balls (see this recipe)

String cheese

Hard boiled eggs

Banana, apple, or celery with peanut butter

Rice cakes with peanut butter

Avocado, tomatoes, red onion with salt and pepper, add some olive oil (my fav!)

I’m no expert, but eating clean and avoiding processed foods is a whole lot better for your body and mind! Also remember, it’s all about balance 😉 If you want to splurge on something, do it, just be mindful the rest of the day. The best advice I can give is to keep healthy snacks on hand (I even keep some in my purse) and listen to your body.

I’d love to hear if you have any favorite healthy snacks! Send them my way!
