Palm Springs Getaway With Kids

Hi friends! We just had the BEST getaway in Palm Springs and I couldn’t wait to tell you all about it! It was so great to unwind, enjoy the warmer weather, and have some quality family time.

We stayed at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort and Spa. I’ve been to Palm Springs a few times but this was my first visit to this hotel. You guys. Five stars! It’s sooo amazing, specifically for kids! I checked out the photos online before booking it and the kid pool area was the main thing that attracted me to this hotel. This is so important to me since the weather in Palm Springs can be really hot and we usually just hang at the pool all day. They have multiple pools, water slides, a splash pad, sandy beach area, and a lazy river.  We had sooo much fun, the girls didn’t even nap and just played all day. We’ve never had a vacation before without nap schedules so this was amazing!

In addition to the pool area, they have a ton of fun activities for both kids and adults. One of our favorites was the evening movie by the pool. They play a kid friendly movie with a huge projector and you can watch it while swimming or from the lounge chairs. They also have life-size games and airbrush tattoos offered at certain times. There is a small pond behind the lobby where our kids loved looking at the ducks and turtles swimming around. For adults they have an amazing spa and three golf courses. Next time I am definitely going to enjoy the spa!

There are plenty of places to eat on the grounds of the resort. There is a Pete’s Coffee that we visited in the mornings for coffee and breakfast. We ordered lunch from the servers at the pool, they had a great menu and kids meals. They do have some restaurants that looked delicious and offered specials such as kids eat free with paid adults. We tried to visit one of these restaurants the first night but our kids were melting down and it ended in more of just a walk around the resort (but that’s okay, #momlife). There is also an upscale mall across the street with restaurants such as Yard House and PF Changs. One block down is a pizza place called Pieology where you can get oven-fired pizzas for a good price, we brought them back to our room one evening. There are so many options without having to go far!

There are so many things to do in Palm Springs, but since we only did a quick trip this time we opted to stay close to the hotel. I can’t recommend the Omni enough! If you are visiting with kids, having a girls’ getaway, or as a wedding venue, definitely check it out!

Stay tuned for everything I packed!
