Ahh.. quiet time. As a mom, is there really anything better? Kidding, kind of š My five year old started half day kindergarten about a month ago so she is home from school before my youngest goes down for nap. So now we are in that weird in-between stage where she isnāt quite ready for an all day school but also too big for a nap and sometimes struggles to play alone. So when the younger one goes down, she engages in some āquiet timeā where she loves to read, play with toys, and do arts & crafts. This might be my favorite time of day because I can either get a few things done without interruptions or I can spend some one-on-one time with my oldest. There is definitely a trick to keeping your child busy during the oh so precious “nap time”.
One of best things you can do for them during this time is to offer toys that encourage imaginative play, creativity, and role play. All of these things are sure to keep them independently busy and will help to develop their cognitive and emotional skills. One of the toys we love the most for this is the PLAYMOBIL playsets! The two Gracyn currently plays with the most are the Abigail & Boomerang with Horse Stall set and The Vaulting Solana set. She loves brushing the horse and feeding him the vegetables. She also likes to reconfigure the stable, horse trot, and hang up the saddle. She is so creative and I love watching her imagination run wild! They offer a ton of other PLAYMOBIL Spirit sets as well with endless possibilities!

A few of these sets include small pieces that I donāt set out when her little sister is awake and playing too.
