Tips For Shopping on SheIn + Favorites

Hi girls! I recently placed a few orders on SheIn and wanted to share the outcome with you all as I know there can be some hesitation ordering off foreign websites. Rewind back a few weeks and I saw this super cute red mini dress on the Princess Polly website. I went back and forth on whether or not to order it, as I didn’t think I would get much use out of it for the $60 price tag. Honestly, I just wanted it for Fourth Of July pictures, ha! I was looking online for a cheaper alternative and found the EXACT same dress on the SheIn website for a fraction of the cost. I added a few more items to my cart to qualify for free shipping and I was actually pretty impressed when the order arrived. Of course I sent back a few things that didn’t end up working, but overall I got pretty lucky. Their prices can’t be beat! However, I do think there are a few strategies to use while shopping their site. So if you want to save some cash but still get really great items, make sure to follow these tips for shopping on SheIn!

Tips For Shopping on SheIn

1 – Look At Sizing For Everything

The sizes on Shein’s website vary…A LOT. So, know your measurements and be sure to look at every single item’s sizing guidelines before adding to your cart. If you’re in between sizes on an item and not sure what to order…always size up as the majority of items do seem to run on the small side.

2 – Check For Promo Codes

Shein is always running some sort of sale or promo code on their website. It can be a little overwhelming with the multiple flashing “sales”, so I prefer to use something like the Honey extension or savings.com.

3 – Allow Plenty Of Time For Shipping

Shipping on average takes 2 weeks, or even longer with the current pandemic. I don’t recommend it if you are in a hurry to to find something or a specific event. With that being said, shipping costs are quite reasonable. It’s free for US orders over $50 and only $3.99 for orders less than $50.

4 – Read The Reviews

Thank goodness for people who take the time to review items. They have made it easier on me to figure out if an item is worth the purchase. I almost don’t buy an item when I don’t see reviews. If they provide a picture, even better. I tend to stick to items that have tons of reviews and skirts, dresses, and tops are your best bet!

5 – Adjust Your Expectations

If you’re someone who normally spends $30+ on a top and then you order a $9 top from Shein…there’s going to be some noticeable differences in quality compared to what you’re used to. However, for $9, it’s going to be a decent top. Just don’t expect it to be on the same level as its designer counterpart. I’m 9 times out of 10 really happy with the quality of the product I get based on the price and reading the reviews before purchase.
