This past weekend, my super talented friend Brittany asked if she could take some photos of me and the girls. Of course I jumped at the opportunity!! I already knew how great her work is (she takes most of my blog photos), but as soon as I saw these images my jaw dropped! Literally. She made all my floral, feminine, subtle boho dreams come true.

To be completely honest, I was 100% unprepared for this shoot. Normally I spend hours looking at potential attire online, trying stuff on, changing my mind, finding multiple options… You guys, photoshoots are A LOT of work. But this was a plan the night before, ready or not, photoshoot! My hair hadn’t been washed in a week, my nail polish was chipped, etc… but you would never know! This was probably my least prepped photo shoot and is by far my favorite!
Ten Random Facts About Us Girls
- I had Gracyn when I was 23 years old and Hayden when I was 25. (Just FYI, I was married at 22). They are 2.5 years apart.
- I have always loved boy names for girls. My top picks were Gracyn, Dylan, Hudson, Hayden, Emersyn, and Kameryn.
- My pregnancies were complete opposites. First one was super easy and I had an easy delivery. Second one I was sick everyday for nine months. I craved fruit in both pregnancies.
- Gracyn was actually born in New Jersey. My husband was transferred to New York for work for a few months. We moved back to the West Coast when she was 3 months old.
- Hayden was an ounce shy of 10 pounds when she was born. Holy guacamole! And she was induced a week early because she was getting too big!!
- Gracyn is severely allergic to Pineapple. I have to keep an EpiPen on me at all times and always check ingredients before ordering, especially smoothies.
- Gracyn’s nicknames are “G” and Gracie Girl. Hayden’s nicknames are Hay-Hay (yes, like the chicken in Moana haha) and Haydah Potatah.
- Gracyn is a super picky eater, she basically lives off pizza, pasta, and pancakes. That can’t be healthy… Hayden eats everything in site!
- One of our favorite things to do together is paint our nails at home. We have been doing it so often since the girls were young that they know to sit still and wait for their nails to dry. They enjoy picking out bright, fun colors.
- My middle name is Lee (same with my mom’s) and I’ve alwaysss hated it. For some reason I passed it on to Gracyn, so now all three generations share the middle name. Hayden’s middle name is Michaela, after both her grandpas named Michael.

Excuse me while I go cry happy tears in the corner. I just love these photos so much and the girls are growing so fast! I will definitely be framing these and placing them all over my house.
