Happy New Year!
Did you do anything fun to ring in the New Year? Jeff and I spent it at home installing more shiplap, painting our master bedroom, and then I was asleep by 10pm. I can’t remember the last time we actually did something festive for New Years Eve, but if we had planned an outing then this sparkle dress is 100% what I would wear. It’s so fun and the ruched sides are so flattering!
Anyways, I wanted to start this year with a reflection of all the things I have absolutely loved over the last year. I was feeling inspired by Oprah’s favorite things list, so here is mine! Beauty

Peter Thomas Roth Retinol – I’ve been using this about every other night and have seen amazing results! It has dramatically improved my skin tone and texture and doesn’t break me out.
Hair
Ouai Leave In Conditioner – This has been a game changer in brushing both my own and my girls’ hair after the shower. Plus, it’s my new favorite scent, occasionally I spray it on my dry hair because I want to smell like this 24/7.
Revlon Volumizer – How did I ever live without this? I saw a few girls talking about it on Instagram so I decided to try it out. Cuts my blow dry time in half! I also use it on dirty hair by spraying some dry shampoo at the root and then blow drying the roots upward. Love this thing!
Conair Curling Wand – I get asked about my hair all the time and everyone is shocked when they find out I use this affordable wand to curl/wave my hair! I have tried so many high end ones and always come back to this.
Accessories
Fawn Design – This was a Mother’s Day gift this year and I have used it every day since. It matches with everything and is still in great condition. I wrote a full review on it here.
Turquoise Rings – This is a new favorite of mine. I love the added color and wear them daily. The ones I wear were found at a market in Julian, but there are tons of great options on Etsy!
Lack Of Color Hat – This year I became a fan of wide brim hats and this is by far my favorite. It’s amazing quality and I wore it so much that it is worth every cent!
Clothes & Shoes
Vans Sneakers – Rediscovered in 2019 😉 I bought the black version and have been wearing them nonstop with jeans, leggings, dresses… everything! They fit perfectly into my casual California wardrobe.
Amazon Down Jacket – I wore this everyday during our trip to Portland and didn’t even get out my more expensive one. It’s so warm and the hood is huge which I love!
Madewell Denim – Nine out of the ten denim I purchased this year was from Madewell, it’s that good! I have had a few of you ask for links on Instagram and report back that you love them as much as I do. They are the best!
Agolde Shorts – So nice, I bought them twice! Not kidding! I wore my first ones so much that I purchased a second pair. They are pricey, but worth every cent! The fit is so flattering with their super high waist and the leg openings flair open a little.
Lululemon Align Leggings – These literally feel like butter! I wear leggings almost everyday (#momlife) and these ones take the cake. They are so comfortable but still hold you in all the right places. They are also thinner then some of my other leggings, which I actually prefer because they feel like you are wearing nothing.
Home
CB2 Dining Chairs – I have had my eye on these forever and finally pulled the trigger! I am so happy I did, I smile every time I see them around our dining table. They are comfortable and super modern.
Sheet Set – These sheets are so cozy and you can’t beat the price, especially for a Cal King set! The reviews on Amazon were great so I ordered myself a set and have been very happy with them, highly recommend!
Capri Blue Diffuser Oil – My favorite candle scent now comes in a diffuser oil! Yay!
Bosu Ball – I have been slowly adding more small gym equipment to our home so I can workout without leaving the house. This is one of the products I have been using the most! Great for abs!
Ninja Blender – I’ve been using this daily to make smoothies for me and the girls. It’s super easy to throw everything in and then drink right from the cup, which means less clean up!
Duvet Covers – I purchased two of these for the girls’ room. Great price!
